Old Ways Fade

   So many people value modern education.  But modern education is limited in its ability to measure a person's ability to perform certain duties in particular industries.  The idea of a linear measurement applied to a dynamic person to fit a variables within a job is absurd at best.  For one not every one learns, the same-way.  Some people are verbal and thus excel well in educational heavy fields, but others excel better in hands-on careers that rely more upon experience earned through training that most companies no longer offer or through experience gained regardless of educational background.  So now, if I don't have the requisite amount of experience; I am rejected by employers that don't value my ability to excel in any work environment, if I am given a chance to compete with fellow employees of that particular business.  There certainly isn't anything wrong with educating by continually learning through whatever means necessary.  But do we need these universities or colleges that charge you, fortunate just to learn? I think not. That isn't to say that all universities or colleges are necessary doing a bad-job of helping some people to learn.  But what of all those people without money or without the time to return to college? It seems that our American society is waning and if the right factor of events were to occur via natural or perhaps man-made disasters of some-sort; what will become of our modern society? Will we go backwards-in-time or will new inventions arise and move us forward into a greater electronic age? In reality, I have learned far more from hands-on experience than I have ever have through any of my college years.  Perhaps, one of our problems is we expect everyone to be linear; when they are dynamic.  One-size never fits all as someone will eventually not fit the established pattern that over-time changes to fit the current society that arises. As such, the American society is approaching that change from the older generations judgmental ideals and expectations to the younger generations more open-mindedness to accept all people for who they have become.
